Data controller

Images and text recognition
SnipPop edits and compresses images and recognizes text locally on your Mac. Images are not uploaded to our servers for processing. Files you share through other apps are subject to those apps’ privacy policies.
Local files
The app keeps necessary settings, recovery data, and temporary files locally. Dismissing a floating card does not delete the original. Manage permissions and files through the app and macOS.
This website
This website and its licensing service are hosted on Tencent Cloud servers in Hong Kong. The website has no advertising, analytics tracking, or third-party embedded players. Server logs may contain IP addresses, request times, paths, and browser details for operations and security. Nginx is configured for daily rotation with 14 non-empty archives; the time covered depends on activity, rather than guaranteed deletion on day 14. Nginx access logging is disabled for the licensing API. Browser session storage retains payment-result lookup and necessary license-management state. Closing the session or clearing website data removes it and may require email verification again. Your language choice is saved locally in your browser for future visits. Clear website data to reset this preference.
Licensing and devices
The licensing service processes purchase email, order identifiers, random device identifiers, and activation, deactivation and recovery records to fulfill the software license, manage two personal devices and prevent abuse. Screenshots are not uploaded for licensing. The service is deployed in Hong Kong. Verification codes are valid for 10 minutes and management sessions for 30 minutes; these are access-validity periods, not promises to immediately erase all related records. Order and license records are retained for as long as necessary for continuing activation, recovery and disputes. You can request deletion below. Records required by law or unresolved disputes are restricted to those purposes and deleted or anonymized when that need ends.
Email, payments and providers
Our contact mailbox uses Gmail. Your email address, message and attachments are used to respond and handle requests; avoid unnecessary sensitive information. Resend is configured to deliver licensing verification, activation or recovery messages and may process delivery status. Support correspondence is retained as necessary to resolve requests, provide follow-up support or address legal disputes. Waffo Pancake and PayPal are currently used for payment integration preparation and testing; live checkout is not open. When opened, checkout will identify the actual provider and applicable policies. Payment providers handle payment credentials; SnipPop does not collect or store full card numbers, security codes or payment passwords. We do not sell personal information or use it for purposes beyond these services, legal obligations or your authorization. Hong Kong hosting and email or payment providers may involve cross-border processing; any additional notices or consent required by applicable law will be addressed before the relevant processing.
Your data rights
These rights cover your purchase email, order identifiers, random device identifiers, and activation records. SnipPop does not require a password-based account; you can request closure or deletion of your licensing records through the same email contact. Email syrene8655@gmail.com to request access to or a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correction of inaccurate information, or deletion of relevant information. Where applicable law provides these rights, you may also request restricted processing, object to processing, obtain a portable copy, or withdraw consent for processing based on consent. To protect your information, we may verify your identity through the email associated with your request. Do not send identity-document photos, full card numbers, or screenshot contents unsolicited. We will handle requests within the time required by applicable law and explain if additional information, an extension, or lawful retention is necessary. Deleting information needed for licensing may affect future activation, device management, or license recovery; we will explain these effects before acting. Records required by law or needed for a dispute may not be eligible for immediate deletion. You may also complain to the competent data protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing based on that consent.
